What the program offers
Personalized Career Guidance
Each participant completes vocational orientation assessments and works closely with career advisors to identify their strengths, interests, and realistic academic or professional pathways. This process helps them make informed decisions about their future direction.
Educational Support
The program supports access to public or private education, training programs, language courses, and skill development opportunities. When financial barriers exist, assistance may be provided to ensure participants can continue their studies.
Psychological Support
Professional psychological assessment and follow-up are available when needed, helping participants strengthen confidence, resilience, and emotional stability. This support plays an important role in enabling long-term progress.
Mentoring and Ongoing Guidance
Participants are supported throughout their journey through regular communication with the RiseUsUp team. A relationship of trust is built over time to help them stay focused on their goals and overcome challenges along the way.
Employment Preparation and Opportunities
The program supports participants in developing practical skills for entering the job market, including guidance toward internships, part-time work, or full-time employment. Work experience is considered an essential step toward independence.
Community Engagement Through Volunteering
Participants are encouraged to contribute actively to community life through volunteering initiatives. This experience strengthens their sense of responsibility, belonging, and confidence while reinforcing the program’s value of giving back.
The process
-
Candidates are referred to the program by the Community’s Social Worker following an initial assessment of their personal, social, and financial circumstances. This ensures that support is offered to young people who can benefit most from the program.
-
Applicants meet with members of the RiseUsUp team to discuss their background, academic experience, and future goals. Supporting documents related to their education and personal situation are reviewed during this stage.
-
When necessary, candidates meet with a collaborating mental health professional who helps the team better understand their needs and overall profile. This process ensures that appropriate support structures are in place from the beginning.
-
Following the evaluation process, the team jointly decides whether the candidate will be admitted to the program. Admission is based on both need and readiness to actively participate in the process.
-
Participants complete vocational orientation tests and begin working with career advisors to identify suitable academic or professional pathways. Together with the RiseUsUp team, they define realistic next steps toward their goals.
-
Participants receive ongoing academic, psychological, and practical support throughout their studies or training. Additional courses such as language learning or technical skills development may also be included when needed.
-
Participants are encouraged to gain work experience during their studies and contribute through community volunteering. These experiences help strengthen responsibility, confidence, and independence.
-
At the end of each academic year, the team evaluates each participant’s progress based on academic performance, work experience, and engagement with the program. Continued participation depends on meeting the agreed expectations and goals.
